A big thank you to our racers and volunteers for making the 2019 Dirty Duo another successful event! Once again the weather provided some challenges – mostly good with a bit of hair pulling. It was great to see the sun out and there was even a bit of warmth by the afternoon.
Our volunteers went above and beyond this year! Without these amazing people who happily came out in the freezing temperatures to make the course safe for our racers, there would be no event. You are truly amazing and we received a lot of compliments about you from the racers. They couldn’t believe how many smiles and encouragement there was out on course.
Our racers also deserve a big thank you. We appreciate the enthusiasm of our runners on race day. It was great to see so many smiles. We also appreciate the support and patience from our mountain biking community. As organizers, it is good to hear from you that we made the right call in considering the safety of the mountain bikers with the snow and ice.
